THE GODLY BLESSING… Genesis 22:1-19; Prov.10:22 WHAT IS BLESSING? … Blessing is a powerful verbal conferment of words that add long lasting values to the life of the receiver.  ” IN Hebrew, it’s  ‘barak’,  a verb which means ‘to praise, add value to, congratulate, or salute’. It’s a verbal utterance backed with power. Another Hebrew meaning is esher, which is translated as happiness (noun, result of barak) . It is the reflection of the verb barak, the utterance. In the New Testament, have two Greek noun words Makarios, and eugelio…  meaning happiness and success; respectively. Combining these words together, blessing  can then be fully explained as a verbal utterance that confers good report, value., and happiness on the receiver.
